Pitt-Johnstown recovered and used a 21-7 run of its own to tie it eight minutes later.

Nicole Carman and Kelsey Sleighter combined for nine points to narrow the gap to five at the 9:03 mark, before two of Inaya Stephenson nine first half points knotted it at 23 with just over six minutes left.

Two free-throws from Leah Hansen got the Lady Cats back even again, but the Crimson Hawks outscored the Lady Cats 8-0 over the final 3:10 to rebuild the lead to 35-27 on a Maria Wareham 3-pointer.

A lay-up by Amy Fairman and a 3-pointer from Leslie Stapleton to open the second half extended IUP's run to 13-0 to push the lead back out to 13.

The Crimson Hawks continued the run and extended the lead to 57-34 at the 12:30 mark on another Stoner bucket.

The IUP lead ballooned to 30 with 7:47 to play, and the Crimson Hawks coasted to the lopsided victory.

The Lady Cats, who were out-rebounded 50-28, did not shoot the ball well.  Pitt-Johnstown shot just 32.7% (17-52) from the field and 5-16 from 3-point range.  The Lady Cats were also 17-25 from the charity stripe.  IUP ended the night shooting 43.9% (29-66) from the floor, 7-17 from behind the 3-point line, and 14-17 from the free-throw line.

Stamp's game-highs of 21 points and 11 rebounds paced four Crimson Hawks who scored in double figures.  Stoner and Stapleton each had 15 points, and Fairman chipped-in 10 points.

With the victory, IUP improved to 18-9 on the year and will advance to take on top-seeded Edinboro in Tuesday's PSAC Quarterfinals.
