Abbey Hrescak Named WVIAC Player of the Week

Lady Cat volleyball outside hitter Abbey Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) has been named West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) Player of the Week after leading Pitt Johnstown to a 3-2 week and a runner-up finish at last weekend's Saint Vincent College Tournament. Hrescak becomes Pitt Johnstown's first student-athlete to earn conference Player of the Week honors. Pitt Johnstown became an offical member of the WVIAC on July 1, 2006.
Hrescak, a 5'9" senior and former standout at Richland High School, compiled 52 kills, 51 digs, and 11 total blocks in the five matches. Hrescak also posted a season-high 15 kills in Friday's win over Waynesburg to open the Saint Vincent Tournament.
